Approval of Kovovax vaccine for children of 7-12 years: 14,258 infected were found in 24 hours, after Kerala-Maharashtra, cases increased in Tamil Nadu-Bengal
The cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly in the country. After Kerala- Maharashtra, the number of infected people is also increasing rapidly in Tamil Nadu, Bengal, Delhi. Meanwhile, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the Kovovax vaccine for children aged 7 to 12 years. This Kovovax vaccine has been made by Serum Institute of India (SII).
Apart from this, a two-dose mRNA vaccine of Genova Biopharmaceutical has also been approved. This vaccine will only be administered to people who are 18 years of age or older. In a meeting last Friday, the Subject Expert Committee had proposed for the emergency use of this vaccine.
Corona cases increased by 21% in the country in the last 24 hours
, 14,258 people were found positive in the country on Tuesday, 11,468 infected were cured and 30 people infected with corona died. There was an increase of 21% in new cases on Tuesday as compared to Monday. There were 11,793 new cases on Monday, which was 32% less than Sunday. On Sunday, 17,073 people were found positive.
Maharashtra and Kerala are at the forefront of new cases. Maharashtra has again reached the top with 47% new cases in the last 24 hours. At the same time, a tremendous jump of 73% was seen in the new cases in Bengal.
47% cases increased in Maharashtra In the
last 24 hours, the maximum number of corona cases came from Maharashtra. On Tuesday, 3,482 patients were found positive in the state, 3,566 infected were cured, while 5 infected lost their lives. New cases in Maharashtra increased by 47% on Tuesday as compared to Monday. On Monday, 2,369 cases were reported in the state, 5 people had died. At present, 25,481 infected people are undergoing treatment in the state.
Since the initial phase of Corona, more than 79 lakh people have been infected in Maharashtra, while more than 77 lakh patients have been cured. So far more than 1 lakh 47 thousand infected people have died in the state. In the current situation, the positivity rate here is 8.91%, that is, about 9 out of 100 patients are being found positive.
Kerala at the forefront of the positivity rate
The number of corona infected in Kerala is not taking its name to stop. In the last 24 hours, 2,993 new cases were reported in the state, 2,814 patients were cured, while 12 infected people died. On Tuesday, there was a 7% reduction in corona cases in the state. A day earlier, 3,206 infected were found here.
Kerala leads in terms of total positivity rate in the country. On Tuesday, the positivity rate was recorded here at 18.33%. So far, about 70 thousand people have died of corona in the state. While 27,218 infected people are undergoing treatment.
Cases also increased
in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu is the third number in terms of new cases after Kerala, Maharashtra. On Monday, 1484 new cases came in the state, 736 patients were cured. Thankfully no one died. There was an increase of 2% in new cases on Tuesday as compared to Monday. On Monday, 1,464 new infected were found.
The positivity rate in the state is 6.93%. Since the initial phase of Corona, 38,026 infected people have died here. 8,970 corona-infected patients are undergoing treatment in the state.
Sudden increase in cases in Bengal In the
eastern state of West Bengal, there was a sudden jump in new cases of corona on Tuesday. On Tuesday, 73% cases increased in the state. In the last 24 hours, 954 infected were found here, 275 were cured. Corona cases may have been less in Bengal, but the positivity rate here is more than 9%.
Cases increased six times in a month
The daily corona patients found in the country have increased six times in just one month. Till May 28, the average of daily patients was only 2,498, now it has crossed 17 thousand. However, it is a matter of relief that daily deaths due to corona have not increased. Even now, an average of 20 deaths are taking place every day. Most of the deaths are being recorded only in Kerala and Maharashtra.
